I love looking back over the 2 and a half years and seeing how much we've grown as a couple and as individuals:
Jeff and I met through mutual friends in the summer of 2006. We played Nintendo with our friends through the wee hours of the morning, often when we all had school or work the next morning. We started a long distance relationship when I moved back to CO to renew my health insurance. Jeff even drove out to visit me at one point -which did not end up going well, as my parents did not approve of the fact that he was still working on his divorce. Jeff almost figured it wasn't worth it at that point and might have stopped communicating with me all together if I wasn't so persistent with my phone calls.
I moved back to Utah in early 2007. For some time I had been struggling with (what ended up being) non epileptic seizures. Jeff, although he'll deny it, is probably one of the most patient men I have ever met. He took care of me when I needed it, even driving me to the emergency room at one point. I think him helping me when they couldn't helped my parents warm up to Jeff.
He proposed to me on one of our many walks after our D&D game, and it's still one of my fondest memories. He got down on one knee and everything.
In late 2007, Jeff was offered a job in Las Vegas. I couldn't stand another long distance relationship, so I moved down there too. He was a little jumpy about getting married again after his divorce, and we set a date 2 or 3 times before we actually tied the knot. In Dec of '07, he finally told me he was ready, so I jumped on it. We set the date for 2 weeks away (we wanted to get married before Christmas) and prepared for no one being able to make it. Amazingly, our entire families (minus my big sister, Mary) were able to make the drive. Plus, my grandma flew down!
We had our reception a month later in Colorado Springs, and I think it worked out well for everyone. It gave my mom an excuse to get new carpet and furniture. We also borrowed a chocolate fountain from some friends, which was extremely hard to stay away from, even in my white dress. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect and relaxing wedding.
I am so lucky to be married to Jeff. We've had some hard times this past year (you only have real fights after you're married), but it has all been worth it. With each fight comes a better understanding and a better appreciation of the other. I love Jeff more every day, and I'm sure the next year will bring more (but fewer) arguments, more appreciation, more love, and maybe the pitter patter of little feet!

Congratulations! I can remember during our first year of being married, I would lie awake at night and think, "What have I done!" Now look at us, 10 years later. It can be hard at first, but is always well worth it.
Come back! We need a babysitter!
Happy Anniversary! You guys make a great couple and we're so happy that Cyndi is part of our family. You are great for Jeff. Have fun on your trip!
I remember the "roast" that Jeff got from some members of our family at the "build Karen's basement" reunion. I felt a bit bad for him, although on the flip side, I thought it was pretty apparent that members of your extended family cared enough about you to make Jeff squirm.
Did you say that you both play D&D? James will insist on you coming to visit us and you all teach me. In fact, he is out at a friend's house playing D&D this very minute! I'm not sure I will concede to it though. He can't even get me to play Shadows Over Camelot.

Yes! This is really late, but yes, Jeff and I play D&D. He's a lot better at it than I am (heck, Katie's better at it than I am), but I do enjoy it.
We should come visit you guys. Maybe a day or two before the family reunion in Spokane? We'll see, but that would be a lot of fun!
