Good webcomic

A webcomic from xkcd was really good, and I'm pretty sure that the people in our families who would enjoy it don't read that webcomic, so I'm going to post it here (with the artist's permission, he just asks that you attribute it to him and don't use it commercially).

The subtext is: "Except for anything by Lewis Carroll or Tolkien, you get five made-up words per story. I'm looking at you, Anathem." I might have added Shakespeare to that list as well.

Maybe it has something to do with fantasy authors having really bad plot/character development. So at the point where you would be confused and thinking "that character wouldn't do that, they're not developed enough" in a regular book, the sci-fi/fan author has already made you accept enough weirdness that this is just something else you have to swallow up. Yum yum Christopher Paolini. That eragon sure looks tasty.
